Update PHP mapscript to build with PHP 5.6 turned out not to be very hard, the stream handling in the PECL HTTP library served as a nice example. I've forwarded my patch, and upstream as applied after some minor adjustments. The fixed mapserver package is available on mentors and currently waiting for sponsorship (#746465).
