Well, I admit, there's a difference between "cannot" and "doesn't" which I didn't take into account. It's not impossible, but currently it doesn't work. As soon as there is an mkinitrd-cd for other architectures or someone solved the problem otherwise, it will work. But documentation is not enough. It's something that makes FAI not have the full feature range on non-i386, and this is a bug, from a user's point of view.
