Could you please follow up upstream (or send me mkv which crashes so that I can do that)?
The mkv file is 121MB long, and I tried to extract a smaller sample that exhibit the bug, but without success. Even if I remove as little as 1 kB from the end of the file, it plays normally. (Which may be interesting debug information in itself.)
I will follow up upstream, the VLC team member that solved that specific bug happens to be an acquaintance. I will get back to you if I need.
