Package: vm Version: 8.2.0b-1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
There are known bugs in vm 8.2.0b which prevents it from working correctly, e.g. trying to open a composition window with 'm' yields a "Symbol's function definition is void" error. https://bugs.launchpad.net/vm/+bug/913005 According to the bugtracker this is fixed in the development versions. Fix for Debian systems is to install vm 8.1 from stable. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.14.2 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=sv_SE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=sv_SE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages vm depends on: ii dpkg 1.17.9 ii emacs23 [emacsen] 23.4+1-4.1+b1 ii install-info 5.2.0.dfsg.1-3 ii make 4.0-7 ii ucf 3.0028 vm recommends no packages.
