I believe ptex-jisfonts itself should be removed from Debian now, see #703589. Also if one wants to keep it in Debian, one should change as follows: Build-Depends on texlive-binaries instead of makejvf. $ apt-cache show texlive-binaries | grep makejvf Provides: jmpost, luatex, makejvf, mendexk, texlive-base-bin Conflicts: jmpost, makejvf, mendexk So I think it is no problem to remove makejvf from unstable, but if you have any question or doubt, please feel free to ask me.
