Package: guessnet Version: 0.33-1 Severity: normal Hi!
I'm trying to use guessnet for my wireless lan card with the next lines in /etc/network/interfaces: mapping wlan0 script guessnet-ifupdown map default: wlan_syn map timeout: 3 map verbose: true iface wlan_syn inet dhcp wireless_essid deverto wireless_mode managed test wireless mac 00:0F:66:51:7E:F7 When doing ifup wlan0 I get the following output: Link beat detection (mii) failed: Operation not supported SIOCGMIIPHY failed guessnet: 1 candidate profiles guessnet: Starting external process test subsystem /usr/share/guessnet/test/test-wireless: line 52: ip: command not found That's because there is no ip command on my system. I would like to know what package do I need to install to have the ip command, and also it would be really nice if guessnet would at least suggest that package. Note: /usr/share/guessnet/test/test-wireless-scan also tries to use that command. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (600, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10-1-pm Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages guessnet depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:3.4.3-6 GCC support library ii libnet1 1.1.2.1-2 library for the construction and h ii libpcap0.7 0.7.2-7 System interface for user-level pa ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.5-5 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
