Package: binfmt-support Version: 2.0.12 Severity: normal Steps to reproduce:
* don't have binfmt-support in the real OS * as part of preparing a Debian Live-based image, debootstrap a chroot and install mono-runtime-common and binfmt-support * prepare another live image in the same way The second time: update-binfmts: warning: python2.7 already enabled in kernel. update-binfmts: warning: /usr/share/binfmts/cli: no executable /usr/bin/cli found, but continuing anyway as you request update-binfmts: warning: found manually created entry for cli in /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc; leaving it alone and the chroot ends up with no /var/lib/binfmts/cli. When it is turned into a Debian Live image, that image cannot run CLI executables via "./HelloWorld.exe". If the real OS *did* have binfmt-support, I assume we'd run into the same problem on the first build. Workaround: echo -1 > /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc/status before each build.
