Dear maintainer, We're aiming to migrate the archive to using wxwidgets3.0 instead of wxwidgets2.8, and intend to drop wxwidgets2.8 before jessie is released. Looking at upstream's SVN repo, I see r171 added wx3 support: http://sourceforge.net/p/gspiceui/code/171/ So packaging a snapshot from SVN or backporting the required changes should allow you to update to using wxwidgets3.0. If you hit any problems with getting packages working with wxwidgets3.0 which you can't overcome, let me know and I'll try to help.
