Hi,
On a Debian system, zfgrep seems to be provided by "gzip" and "gzip" is
marked as Essential. This means that there should be no need for an
explicit dependency.
I have never heard of "EdgeRoute Lite", but it seems to mess with what
See http://www.ubnt.com/edgemax#EdgeMAXhardware
is a part of the essential base system. If so, packages from Debian
cannot be expected to work on them as-is.
~Niels
sudo apt-get install gzip --reinstall
sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite
/var/cache/apt/archives/gzip_1.3.12-9+squeeze1_mips.deb
sudo apt-get install gzip --reinstall
solved the problem.
http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-binary.html
says:
"Packages are not required to declare any dependencies they have on
other packages which are marked Essential (see below), and should not do
so unless they depend on a particular version of that package."
So, please, close this bug report.
Best regards
Heinrich Schuchardt
