as discussed on irc, /etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/01-dnssec-trigger sets up the following alias: alias pidof="/usr/sbin/pidof" However, /usr/sbin/pidof does not exist on wheezy. It seems it does not exist on jessie either. Removing the alias line makes the script work.
