Hi, I have a comparable issue here. When creating a chroot (fai nfsroot) dracut fails to be configured:
[...] Setting up dracut (037-2) ... dracut: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.14-1-amd64 dpkg: error processing package dracut (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of linux-image-3.14-1-amd64: linux-image-3.14-1-amd64 depends on initramfs-tools (>= 0.110~) | linux-initramfs-tool; however: Package initramfs-tools is not installed. Package linux-initramfs-tool is not installed. Package dracut which provides linux-initramfs-tool is not configured yet. [...] Investigation of '/var/lib/dpkg/info/dracut.postinst' and '/etc/kernel/postinst.d/dracut 3.14-1-amd64' shows that the command dracut -q --force /boot/initrd.img-3.14-1-amd64 3.14-1-amd64 fails, i.e. it returns 1. After installing console-setup things work again as expected and the chroot with dracut installed fine. Perhaps console-setup should be added as dependency?
