Please find the new push on
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/maitreya.git
it upgrades to the upstream's 7.0.6 and suppresses
assertion failures with
export DEB_CPPFLAGS_MAIN_APPEND=-DNDEBUG

The upstream says he is working on fixes for these assertion failures
which should be available "in a few days".

When I get that fix, I will revert the suppression and push the
new upstream. So there most likely be a new push comming. But
that is future.

The presure to have a release ready is intense.

This push does not build on an ordinary sid system.
That is because wxsqlite3_3.1.0 has not been released from
experimental. But they say the unreadiness of maitreya
is keeping them from doing that.

I tested the pushd by downloading wxsqlite3_3.1.0 and
building it and installing it by hand.

In this environment, Maitreya will build and run without the assertion
failures I previously found. But who knows how many others are
out there that I did not find? They are suppressed now.

I also was able to get maitreya to build with sbuild, by tricking
sbuild to also get packages from experimental.

So I guess you can tell them it is OK to let go of wxsqlite3_3.1.0.
Then when it is available, you will be able to upload this push.

I am worried about all this.
