Thanks for the report. Unfortunately, I can't reproduce the issue. It is possible, however, that at some point Gwenview was misconfigured. Try right-clicking on the "Root Folder", selecting Properties and checking if it does indeed point to "/" as it should. If this is correct, but Gwenview still acts strangely, then I would suggest moving ~/.kde/share/config/gwenviewrc to somewhere temporary, then starting Gwenview and seeing if it works properly.
