Hi,

I'm still seeing this crash with gnome-menus 3.10.1.
It is fairly reproducible for me, as it happens often, when I'm installing/upgrading some packages, independently whether that is done via synaptic, apt or dpkg.

Here is the backtrace from the crash with 3.10.1:

Core was generated by `/usr/bin/gnome-shell'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.

The bogus address in frame 0, which leads to the segfault, comes from the parent of the parent of the dir in frame 2:
(gdb) frame 2
#2 cached_dir_queue_monitor_event (dir=0x38e6dd0) at /tmp/buildd/gnome-menus-3.10.1/./libmenu/entry-directories.c:506

(gdb) p *dir->parent->parent
Cannot access memory at address 0xe086b2007265746e

I hope someone can fix this.

Best regards,
Andreas
