I've already uploaded 1.4.4 to the git repository, and the fix is there: http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/scribus.git/commit/CMakeLists.txt?id=ec16ff6ba33480c64d995023fc57f42dbdf85cd3 planned to be uploaded in a couple of weeks.
