Hello Javier, I too would like to officially beg for a package update to be made available. I was running just fine with 2.9.6.0, but it appears that the rule updates have been dropped by the snort team. The oldest version presently supported with rules is 2.9.6.1 - and the most current stable release is 2.9.6.2.
