It does not boot properly. The filesystem is mounted read-only. Manually entering the command "mount -a" will fix the problem until the next boot (although openrc still segfaults on reboot). By the way, installing kFreeBSD jessie at this point is tricky because of other bugs. * The beta installer CD has multiple bugs that are mentioned in the release notes. * dist-upgrading from wheezy will remove the old kernel without installing a replacement (#756464), so you need to manually install kfreebsd-image-10 or else the systrm will fail to boot. * apt in jessie is extremely slow, but apt in experimental is ok > > As you know, due to this bug openrc will be removed from debian/testing > on the 19th this month.
