Package: pxelinux Version: 3:6.03+dfsg-1 Severity: normal File: /usr/lib/PXELINUX/pxelinux.0
Dear Maintainer, I have a PXE framework with iPXE menu + chain-loading of pxelinux.0 for Debian Installers, Debian Live-systems etc and System Rescue CD too (http://www.sysresccd.org/). I noticed lately, that Debian Installer uses a newer pxelinux.0 with ldlinux.c32. I tried to update my TFTP directory with a newer syslinux and pxelinux. Unfortunately I also added System Rescue CD version 4.3.1 into a iPXE menu and strange things happened. I was searching for errors in my custom SysResCD configurations a half day :). I tried to return old syslinux/pxelinux back and things started to work as expected as before. My old version of syslinux is 4.0x and experiments are with 6.03 from Sid (my desktop). I did a reduction of problematic configuration and have prepared it only for KVM virtual host pxetest with IP 192.168.67.99. zito@lin:/srv/tftp$ cat pxelinux.cfg/C0A84363 default /sysrcd-x86-4.3.1/rescue32 append initrd=/sysrcd-x86-4.3.1/initram.igz dodhcp setkmap=us boothttp=http://192.168.67.34/tftp/sysrcd-x86-4.3.1/sysrcd.dat timeout 300 KVM virtual is hosted on Debian Wheezy and it has a VirtIO network interface. With old syslinux 4.0x the virtual host boots OK, with 6.03 the append line is ignored. I did a snapshot of VNC console from the Virt-manager. Thanks for your time!
