Can you start zim with "zim -D --standalone" and send the full output as attachment? I can't reproduce the problem and neither can Jaap (the upstream author). Maybe the problem can be fixed by rebuilding the index (the option is in the "Tools" menu), can you try to rebuild the index and see if the problem persists ?
