Hello Jedd, I also have a camera Olympus (VG170) and I have no problem. I think this bug is fixed since the 2.08 release when the developer has updated libjpeg [1]. The bug was in the library, as explained on website of jpegtran, an other utility [2]. Upgrade to version 2.09 of exiftran (in testing only) should solve your problem. Otherwise I see you use the MakerNotes property which has recurring problems with compatibility [3] and whose support is improving - I hope - with time. Exif data may be corrupted without being able to avoid it so far.
