Let me support the Leopold request and explain why: from the robotics
community (I work for the Open Source Robotics Foundation) the point
cloud manipulation is one of the core tasks related to robotics perception.

In our way of making Debian a good platform for free and open robots,
pcl is definitely one of the main software we needed. Leo and the other
debian-science folks were working hard to get this beast under debian
and it would be really a pity to lost the opportunity to get it into the
Jessie distribution for just a few days.
