while in a lecture this morning i found my thoughts travelling back to

this may stem from my unfamiliarity with tpu: how will the version of
5.0.16 from unstable ever make it to testing if the version in tpu is
the same? i'm just a bit concerned because we'd have two packages with
the same version but different dependencies, which seems like a
Bad Idea in general.

i had the impression from the developers' reference that the versions must
be testing < tpu < unstable, so how would we work that out? would we
essentially be committing to tracking a tpu branch (5.0.16etchN, which
is > unstable) until the next upstream release?
