Source: genshi Version: Re-enable genshi support for Python 3.4 Severity: important
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 We previously had to deliberately disable python3-genshi support for Python > 3.3 because upstream was not compatible. This was implemented in the form of an ImportError raised when sys.version_info indicated Python 3.4 or greater. As Python 3.4 is the only available version on Jessie, this renders python3-genshi useless. Although upstream is quite slow to release new versions, their upstream vcs has patches, and the Fedora genshi maintainer has provided pointers to their packaging, both of which should allow us to re-enable support for genshi in Python 3.4. I'll be working on packaging that up, and I intend to file an rc bug and request a freeze exemption for Jessie once this is working. - -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16-3-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJUW5N1AAoJEBJutWOnSwa/DRMP/1k7/7WD+1Vnryq+3Ar+N47x wApT3vRRymW2/AHyt+4POMAjL2MiM6NylmpNIoie+miK2NgSrIo68BRzVJl07DGw sp6T/VdelHUPIsKGMA64+4wFpTbt4qRcRhepaHnShNYxQRtidwJiwbKlGcutWc+h K2/veka981cp+85LGqjB/bo0MqzU0Jz0nAJNOZ1UlcvX95TRZxvCqtyOGsb0uIfB x/Ob+A84vRF7gOQrpAJUcdjk8kKRLr3roQ1VE9fZ7yUulmw/Tq6Bf/9SquGeej+x 21gIjj+BLpA0WIM0B4JltxyrDAmh2uVyJZ9ORhTX4wPqLVPjp8+hKbiOhB7VtZ4q b9W8+UnBp1VetHnJ53ltRnjCimWvPnOS844FMU9BVVe1e7WtOrBCja7beqwHdHy6 pHjFJ9Nz8vZamPqcbn67GFsG37M1z87KCEooVjlw+Td4l8UBm47UEVGh3QHrSjGL 9KVLUXdlvDjAqOOltwcXXG9d8K4X/G+n9a/C+nEty8n3+kUL2SFT0cO3LvJ9CKKQ /d58QzwFsG8UWQKBiiD1py8XgjaEidgA4ggiHTtnZNbOFkOQ09IBQQqvwsxghYCv +kK7JubbQromF+5xGQ0g+9gkFdsPj6IX+zzotGb3tbUEyNItuGvLKbJq9dAkWcth yZeWP8BiEWCVH0oxreno =mOJM -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
