I recommend you to consider joining a team instead of doing package 
maintenance on your own - especially if new to the art of Debian 
packaging.  For a package linked against libv8 it might be sensible to 
join the Javascript team - if in doubt there is interest in the team to 
work on the project you have, simply drop a mail to our list and ask 
what we feel :-)
