In #292075, the bug submitter suggest that mount.cifs "documentation" (I guess manpage) should better document the use of rsize, wsize and MTU. I'm not completely convinced that such a document is the most appropriate place to explain what these options (which are used by mount.nfs as weel, for instance) are about. Anyway, let's at least tag and sort this proeprly. We'll decide later if it's worth forwarding this to upstream and make Jon Terpstra happy to complete the wonderful Samba documentation.
