I can reproduce this, but it apparently is caused by a bug in gtk+. If you can downgrade libgtk-3-0 (and associated packages, at least libgtk-3-0-bin and libgtk-3-common) to version 3.12.x, the bug goes away.
I'll try to create a sample program showing the bug and report it upstream.
