Thank you for your reply. That explains why app-install-data was left untouched for so long. And thank you for filing a bug report to remove it from the archive. I have just read your newly filed bug report here: Bug#772713 - RM: app-install-data -- ROM; Outdated/Not really used anymore https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=772713 and noticed a problem: Do you want to keep app-install-data for Jessie (testing)? I think it would be best: 1. either to have this syntax error in spout.desktop fixed for Jessie (testing); 2. or to have app-install-data removed from both Jessie (testing) and Sid (unstable) altogether. Otherwise, there are bound to be some poor souls who would run into this bug. What do you think?
