Package: mime-support Version: 3.52-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, IANA clearly defines that the correct MIME type for Microsoft's icon format is "image/vnd.microsoft.icon", not "image/x-icon" which is an outdated format for non-registered types.
See http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/image/vnd.microsoft.icon I thing mime-support should be updated to use the correct type. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.7 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-042stab093.4 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash mime-support depends on no packages.
