Source: kde-plasma-desktop Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I am trying to install kde-plasma-desktop non-interactively (i.e. from a script). kde-plasma-desktop pulls in both lightdm and kdm packages, both of which want to be the default display manager. I am using debconf-set-selections to set the "shared/default-x-display-manager" question for both kdm and lightdm before running apt-get, to avoid interaction. Unfortunately the dialog is still presented to choose kdm or lightdm. If I use "DEBIAN_FRONTEND=non-interactive apt-get install" I avoid the interaction, but the configuration database values are overwritten to prefer kdm. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers trusty-updates APT policy: (500, 'trusty-updates'), (500, 'trusty-security'), (500, 'trusty'), (100, 'trusty-backports') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.13.0-40-generic (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
