Trying to link against glut (freeglut3) causes the following error:

gcc -lglut test.c

/usr/bin/ld: test: hidden symbol `__fini_array_end' in test is referenced by DSO
/usr/bin/ld: final link failed: Nonrepresentable section on output
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

This happened to me even with a completely empty test program (empty
main).

Downgrading to binutils in stable (ld version 2.15) solves the problem.
