this is probably caused by a bug in the endianness detection patch. It was missing to include <endian.h>, which is somehow automagically included as soon as you build with optimization. Also, I couldn't get unace not to crash with your fuzzed archive when it was built without optimization but with -fpie. Is this somehow related?
