This is due to APT not supporting parallel execution / threads very well, which does unfortunately not allow us to perform two actions at the same time on one backend. There are a few ideas on how to solve this, but implementing this is unfortunately not a trivial task. Ideally, the APT-API would just be threadsafe ;-) Currently, nobody is working on this issue.
