Package: simple-scan Version: 3.15.4-1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream When I put a single page into the feeder of my scanner and use the "All Pages From Feeder" scan option, an extra blank page is appended to the output. (If I use the "Single Page" option, it doesn't pull from the feeder at all, which is not what is most useful.)
Mechanically, the scanner only scans the one page -- it doesn't have some sort of paper detection error and physically scan another page. Other applications like skanlite in ADF mode correctly scan a single page. Also, deleting the additional page does not work -- I right click on the page, select delete, and nothing happens. This might be a separate bug report, can clone if so, but I mention it here because page deletion otherwise seems to work and I wouldn't have to delete the extra blank page if it wasn't there in the first place. p.s. thanks for a scanning program for the free software desktop that finally has a nice UI, PDF output, options for the things I need and no cluuter for useless options I don't. -- Package-specific info: -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages simple-scan depends on: ii adwaita-icon-theme 3.14.0-2 ii dbus-x11 1.8.14-1 ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.22.0-1 ii libatk1.0-0 2.14.0-1 ii libc6 2.19-13 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.14.0-2.1 ii libcairo2 1.14.0-2.1 ii libcolord2 1.2.1-1+b2 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.31.1-2+b1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.42.1-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.14.5-1 ii libgudev-1.0-0 215-11 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.36.8-3 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.36.8-3 ii libsane 1.0.24-9 ii xdg-utils 1.1.0~rc1+git20111210-7.3 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-2+b1 simple-scan recommends no packages. simple-scan suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- Ivan Kohler President and Head Geek, Freeside Internet Services, Inc. http://freeside.biz/ Debian GNU/Linux developer | CPAN author | cat person | ski addict -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
