This is still not ideal, since I want an automatic replot.

But this triggers another bug:

Well, before releasing the mouse button, I can see that the redraws
are done *in real time*. So, I don't think that the redraws are a
problem. And the fact that there are redraws doesn't explain why
the window size changes a lot after I release the mouse button.

Moreover GNOME and IceWM (on the same machine) don't have any problem
with Gnuplot resize.

This is rather obsolete. XEmacs and Netscape no longer exist, and
both GNU Emacs and Firefox are fine with ResizeOpaque.
