Hello, I installed udev, as it is supposed to be the thing to use with such kernel, and this cause the system to segfault too.

As said before, I found this problem after an hardware change, the video card, with a video card that worked perfectly on another computer with the same arch (not the same motherboard, but the same system with the same software). I traced the failure at the hdparm init script and Aurelien was able to provide a workaround. But still there's something wrong, as shows udev failure. I find odd that I have some many ide modules loaded and I wonder if it may be part of the issue, but I have no clues. Tell me if there is further information I can provide.
