Sounds like either the 'kpatch.sraw' should be improved or 'sraw' removed.  I 
hate doing kernel patches**, a module would be more user friendly.

(**on a modem it means DL'ing the kernel source, which is like 35 megs, or 
around three hours, and an uncertain compile, just for a little patch.  A 
module is usually under 100K.)
