Please, also consider using phpcomposer (from pkg-php-tools) in order to at least provide the currently missing dependency on PHP (later, autoload.php support may even be provided by this package helper), and also maintaining this package inside the PHP PEAR (and Composer) Maintainers team (X-Debbugs-CC).
