I need four monitors, so I bought a extern graphic card. The AMD FirePro 2460 multi-view. The debian installation works, but I can't work with four monitors. Only two monitors show a picture (the same picture). The resolution is not correct, only 1600 x 1200, my screen can 1920 x 1200. I have searched many hours to find a solution for this problem. Now I have found the solution! https://wiki.debian.org/AtiHowTo. I had to install firmware-linux-nonfree. The other two parts: libgl1-mesa-dri and xserver-xorg-video-ati seems to be installed. Dmesg show this too: [ 6.917249] [drm:radeon_pci_probe] *ERROR* radeon kernel modesetting for R600 or later requires firmware-linux-nonfree. But at that time, I don't understand, now I know what to do :-). It would be great if you can find for this problem a good solution. It should run directly. The user shouldn't install anything. Debian is a ground base for a lot of other linux distributions and if new users test their hardware, if it works with linux or not, it would be great, if it works out of the box, whitout doing anything.
