Hi back,
This problem is solved in Debian 8.0 !
Best regards,
Julien ROBIN
Hi again,
glad to see the issue (supposedly, a Xorg one) has gone away.
P. S. In the future, when discussing public Debian bugs,
please don't forget to add the bugtracker email address to "CC:",
so emails never get lost.

Hi,
I just remembered this morning about your email, because I finally found a
solution some times ago for this problem .
The problem seems to caused by 2 things :
- Xorg, who decides to make everything bigger when he sees that pixels are
"smalls" (1920x1080 on a laptop 15" screen).
- The impossibility to right clic anywhere and tell him not to make
everything bigger (this is what killed my patience ;) sorry).
This solution is not really "normal" but it is working, and it will probably
helps you to understand what happen more precisely
In the folder :
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/
I created a "liar" file named "90-monitor.conf"
Containing this :
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
DisplaySize 494 278 # Lie, in millimeters
EndSection
Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen0"
Monitor "Monitor0"
EndSection
Now that this file is telling xorg that my screen is big, then I have a normal
font, messages, and objects size in general.
If you can do something or give this information to somebody who can do
something more simple, thank you in the name of everybody ! I'm just
discovering Linux and I'm a really beginner.
The more frustrating problems that I have met are the more simples problems
with no solution made available (because I saw them like proofs that I'm going
to waste my time for nothing, and it discourage me, and this is why I give up
every year since 2004 lol. But not this year).
PS : May be another interpretation of the problem is that when everything
becomes bigger, objets, texts etc are cropped out of the screen and distorted
everywhere, but what I mean is : Linux can make something automatic without
asking my permission but I should have a way to keep it into control if I
doesn't like it and more, if it's not correctly done.
I hope it will help !
PS : it was a long time ago but :
0) Have you tried LXDE in Debian Jessie (testing)? Is it OK? -> Not for the
moment (I will probably test the new Debian on my computer in the following days)
1) In your current buggy setup,
do the fonts have normal size on the LightDM login screen? -> The size was also
"anormally" big on login screen
2) Have you tried to start a simple Openbox session? Does it look normal? ->
Unfortunately, I didn't tested it !
3) Are the huge fonts everywhere in LXDE, or just in some places? ->
Everywhere
Can you please take a screenshot of the problematic environment?
Here is the screen cap : http://imageshack.com/a/img901/3792/V0oiyP.png ->
Yeah it was horrible ;)
Good luck and have a nice day !
Best regards,
Julien ROBIN
