Hello this information is now false. Yesterday, I had a similar crash in eclipse (just before when the open dialog would appear). So it's most probably unrelated to nip2. I don't think it could relate to the c++ allocator change -- the realloc just fails because it's trying to allocate too much (or 0 -- could be it's something lige 256*2^26=0 in integer arithmetic). The question is, how did the huge number (sorry, I don't have it at hand) appear. I'm definitely gonna post a bug report against libgnomevfs on this (but maybe I can only do it after Christmas).
