AFAIK the only affected program would be cfdisk, or is there any other
program in util-linux which currently uses slang?

I'm not too keen on doing that. Have you asked on debian-boot about
their opinion? Last time the issue came up, just dropping cfdisk-udeb
was among the proposals[1].

_If_ we are to build udebs from ncurses, I gladly accept patches, but I
would like to avoid that if possible.
