Package: upgrade-reports Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
The Jessie release notes do not warn users of the /gnucash/ package that all their financial data will be automatically converted to a format that is no longer readable to the /ledger/ package. This is catastrophic. It is very important that gnucash users be warned that upgrading from wheezy to jessie will make their financial data irreversably inaccessible to ledger. There is no way to downgrade gnucash once the damage is done. The gnucash bug was filed under report 787576. The release notes should include a warning in the limitations section. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
