numbers you see you need to change the code that evaluates the nubers which is the kernel.
This is not Linux specific problem. How could _any_ _operation_ _system_ figure out the total size of the currently available files? How could it figure out which old files are "linked in" the current session? All OS-es expect to read this info from PVD.
