Duh, the maintainer included the link "https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2014-8483"; in the changelog and that text link is transformed into a real link twice, once for the full link and once for the string "CVE-2014-8483". And obviously a link embedded in another link doesn't give the expected result..
