Package: eject Version: 2.0.13deb-16 Followup-For: Bug #308940 I have the same problem, but I don't need to run konqueror and I didn't even understand the part about packet writing - my regular user, which is a member of the cdrom group, just can't eject the cdrom. This applies to audio cdroms as well, so it's not a mount issue. Making eject suid root solves the problem, but it's not particularly pretty.
