Package: openstack-debian-images Version: 1.4 Severity: normal Hi!
I noticed that in the resulting images, files /etc/machine-id and /var/lib/dbus /machine-id are included. So by default all machines booted from these images get the same machine ID, or # cat /etc/machine-id /var/lib/dbus/machine-id cdb7f92199c748a7a20d33ab52974cbb cdb7f92199c748a7a20d33ab52974cbb in case of Debian 8.1.0 images. I propose removing those files during image creation. I am not yet sure how happy a system is running without these files, i.e. if re-creating them during first boot (and at which stage) is optional or required. I am looking forward to your feedback.
