I've been looking at the src directory in Datejs-all-Alpha1.zip:

% ls src
core-debug.js globalization parser.js time-debug.js
core.js license.txt sugarpak-debug.js time.js
date.js parser-debug.js sugarpak.js

For each js file, there is a -debug.js file, which seems to be the
source file for it. In the globalization directory there seems to be
only source files. date.js, which is the only one without a -debug.js
counterpart, seems to be source code too.

To me, this directory looks like the source code for date.js...

Maybe it would be enough to copy the files *-debug.js date.js
license.txt and the directory globalization into the source code for
Calibre?
