Hi. AFAIU, reading https://github.com/odeke-em/drive/issues/277, you've been blocked by the number of dependencies needing packaging in Debian.
Any interested packager should refer to above link to find pointers to some earlier efforts, in order to not reinvent all of the wheel ;) Hope this helps.
