Not sure about 1.1~exp8 at the moment, but at least the version in git which will become 1.1 eventually already autorecreates and/or chowns (among other things) the partial/ directories as needed all by itself. So, your sneakernet should work out-of-the-box. Best regards David Kalnischkies
