Package: screen Version: 4.3.1-1 Followup-For: Bug #622265 This isn't just mlterm. This breaks xterm, xterm-256color, etc. too -- i.e. screen is now slightly incompatible with X environments in general. Yuck.
This munging of the TERM variable also breaks access to other systems, e.g. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=609656. Some systems don't even think the munged TERM values are "real" and cause problems like less complaining "WARNING: terminal is not fully functional". -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.1.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages screen depends on: ii libc6 2.19-19 ii libpam0g 1.1.8-3.1 ii libtinfo5 6.0+20150810-1 screen recommends no packages.
